There is no depth in such an abyss
None these mortal eyes may see
As the darkest things do blind us
in shadows of "how can this be?"
There's no more order than these storms
that fling tears as rain and loose debris
Such darkness brings such blindness
As the night cries itself a storm
which blots every starlight's likeness
cloaking shape, and depriving form
And as eyes weep the skies mimic crying
And as stomachs are tied up and twisted
the winds churn-out cyclones so stultifying
And as raging bursts of lightning lash thunder
as if to punish the empyrean sky for this blunder
The darkness seems so terrifyingly eternal
And the darkness seems so horribly infernal
...But darkness shall not take you
for you shall remain as light
And light is all you may go into
Be it the light of mortality's tunnel
or of bright days you shall wake to know
Where the sun beams like loving eyes
bursting with rays of joyous bliss
as they bask in your luminous glow
that shines even as skies remain amiss
For you shall ever be as light
For you are an illuminating force
and you have cast such luminous might
that darkness must revert its course
No darkness cannot take you
For your light this world shall ever know
No, no darkness shall ever take you
For your luminous light will ever show
